About Vintage League

Vintage League earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to apparel branding, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. Credit goes to Eystore. With 4 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge.

We keep it filed mentally under apparel font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether apparel branding is really what you are getting.

The listing files it under athletic designs, athletic font, badges and block letterforms — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. Nearby you will see display, poster, headline, retro and slab, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. What this shelf gets asked for is vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones. We keep it under Display and Poster Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the display and poster fonts we have gone through.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
