About Vintage Block
We keep Vintage Block here because it is the plain, dependable version of what this shelf is for — and the plain version is the one that gets used. Credit goes to 29Graphic. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. With 4 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.
A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. We would keep it for the project where a font has to work on the first try. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether display and poster fonts is really what you are getting.
Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. We keep it under Display and Poster Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the display and poster fonts we have gone through. Nearby you will see headline, retro and slab, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
