About Tokyo
What we like about Tokyo is how little it tries to be everything — it does beauty font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. It comes from andikastudio. It sits at 11 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it.
If you want one use for it, take bold font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Type your own words in the preview box before you decide: script fonts look beautiful in the designer's sample and fall apart in all caps or with a double letter. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
