About Sound

The reason Sound is here is beauty font and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. Arief Indra Pratama made it. 17 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up.

We keep it filed mentally under bold font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. The join between letters is the whole craft in a script face, so we look at a word with a repeated letter before judging anything else. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether beauty font was the description or the aspiration.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.

Rustling Sound

Hand-lettered rather than pen-written: strokes are drawn, not swept, so the thick-thin contrast is gentle. That makes it easier to use for branding than most script…
