About Rustling Sound

What we like about Rustling Sound is how little it tries to be everything — it does branding font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf. The designer behind it is Sronstudio. 1,026 saves is a quiet kind of recommendation, and it is the only one we can read off the listing. It stands at 5.0 out of 5 across 6 reviews, and we read the low scores first when there are any.

Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. If you want one use for it, take feminine: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. We would not hesitate on this one, beyond the two minutes it costs to read the licence tab.

Filed as branding fonts, feminine fonts, handlettered font and hand lettered fonts. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. Related wording on the shelf: script, calligraph, handwritten, hand written and signature. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. We track what people actually type before they land here: script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font. If that is roughly what you were after, this font is in the right family. We filed it under Script and Calligraphy Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
