About Planing
Planing earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to 4th of july, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. Only 1 person has saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. The designer behind it is Robbots stores.
We keep it filed mentally under background, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Type your own words in the preview box before you decide: script fonts look beautiful in the designer's sample and fall apart in all caps or with a double letter. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether 4th of july is really what you are getting.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
