About Maria Heart
Maria Heart earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to classic, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. Only 28 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. baletype is the name on the listing. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist.
Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. If you want one use for it, take classy: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
