About Spring Heart

Spring Heart earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to banner, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. 5.0 out of 5 from 14 reviews — a small sample, but it is the sample there is. The save count sits at 216, and a number that size usually means the file does what its preview promises. It is yogaletter6's work.

If you want one use for it, take birthday: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. The join between letters is the whole craft in a script face, so we look at a word with a repeated letter before judging anything else. The score is good enough that the risk is small. We would still look at the preview full size and read the licence tab before using it for anything we sell.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.

The alternates are the point here — swapping one or two letters is what stops a repeated name from looking stamped. Thirty-five reviews is unusually deep…
