About Laperla
If you want the uncomplicated option, Laperla is it — and most of the time the uncomplicated option is the one you end up using. With 21 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. The designer behind it is Pasha Larin. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.
This is a safe default rather than a statement piece, and most jobs want the safe default. Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether script and calligraphy fonts is really what you are getting.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
