About Desert Ridge
This is the one we reach for when the request is americana font. Desert Ridge keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. 5.0 out of 5 from 1 review — a small sample, but it is the sample there is. 48 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. Meow Creation made it.
Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. The obvious job for it is badge font, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether americana font was the description or the aspiration.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
