About Craft Block

The reason Craft Block is here is bold font and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. The designer behind it is Gumacreative. Only 3 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge.

A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. We would use it the way the listing hints — branding font — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether bold font was the description or the aspiration.

The listing files it under bubble font, chunky font, craft font and display font — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. Related wording on the shelf: poster, headline, vintage, retro and slab. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. We track what people actually type before they land here: vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts. If that is roughly what you were after, this font is in the right family. On this site it lives on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing display and poster fonts rather than searching for it by name.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
