About Retro Vintage
Most of what turns up under book cover needs work before it is usable. Retro Vintage is the version that does not. With 31 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. The designer behind it is GraphicsNinja.
Our own plan for it is cactus, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. A serif is for reading, so judge it by a full sentence rather than a word — the rhythm only shows up across a line. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether book cover is really what you are getting.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
