About Whiteside
This is the one we reach for when the request is beautiful. Whiteside keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. 50 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. It is Prioritype's work.
Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. The obvious job for it is beauty, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
The listing files it under boutique, branding, brush and business — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. Judged against the requests we see — script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. On this site it lives on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing script and calligraphy fonts rather than searching for it by name. The neighbouring searches are script, calligraph, handwritten, hand written and signature — worth a look if this particular font is close but not quite it.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
