About Veyra

Veyra is our bold font pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. 4 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. vladfedotovv is the name on the listing. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.

Type your own words in the preview box before you decide: script fonts look beautiful in the designer's sample and fall apart in all caps or with a double letter. If you want one use for it, take branding font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

Filed as casual font, creative font, display font and expressive font. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. The same shelf also answers to script, calligraph, handwritten, hand written and signature, so widen the search there before giving up on it. The wording people arrive with is script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. We filed it under Script and Calligraphy Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
