About Urban Blash
The reason Urban Blash is here is brush font and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. It is Creatype Designer's work. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. The save count is at zero, so there is nothing to lean on but the preview and our reading of it.
We keep it filed mentally under classy font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether brush font was the description or the aspiration.
The listing files it under calligraphy font, cursive font, display font and edgy font — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. The searches that bring people to this shelf are script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font — this one sits in the middle of that group rather than off to the side of it. You will find it among the script and calligraphy fonts, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job. People after this usually search script, handwritten, hand written and signature too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
