About The Louise
Most of what turns up under aesthetic font needs work before it is usable. The Louise is the version that does not. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. It sits at 15 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. Typoraith Co is the name on the listing.
Our own plan for it is antique font, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. The join between letters is the whole craft in a script face, so we look at a word with a repeated letter before judging anything else. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
The listing files it under boutique font, branding font, bridal font and calligraphy font — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. We keep it under Script and Calligraphy Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the script and calligraphy fonts we have gone through. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. People after this usually search script, handwritten, hand written, signature and cursive too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
