About Teiring

We put Teiring on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf because adobe creative suite is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. The save count is still small at 1, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. It is Eric Kusuma's work.

We keep it filed mentally under brand identity, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. The join between letters is the whole craft in a script face, so we look at a word with a repeated letter before judging anything else. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether adobe creative suite is really what you are getting.

The listing files it under corporate design, crossplatform compatibility, design and design programs — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. The wording people arrive with is script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. We filed it under Script and Calligraphy Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. People after this usually search script, calligraph, handwritten, hand written and signature too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
