About Tedwo

This is the one we reach for when the request is adobe creative suite. Tedwo keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. No saves on it yet — new files sit like that for a while, and it says nothing about the file. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. It is Eric Kusuma's work.

Type your own words in the preview box before you decide: script fonts look beautiful in the designer's sample and fall apart in all caps or with a double letter. We would use it the way the listing hints — creative font — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

If you came in looking for crossplatform compatibility, design, design software and digital font, you are in the right place — the listing carries all of those, which is the clearest sign the designer built it for that job rather than retitled it afterwards. The searches that bring people to this shelf are script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font — this one sits in the middle of that group rather than off to the side of it. It is shelved with the rest of the script and calligraphy fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one. The neighbouring searches are script, calligraph, handwritten, hand written and signature — worth a look if this particular font is close but not quite it.

Where to get itCreative Fabrica

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
