About Story Wednesday
Story Wednesday earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to 4th of july, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. Robbots stores made it. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. It has gone unnoticed so far. We found it worth shelving anyway.
Type your own words in the preview box before you decide: script fonts look beautiful in the designer's sample and fall apart in all caps or with a double letter. Put it to work on background first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether 4th of july is really what you are getting.
Type background fonts, beauty font, black fonts and brush font into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. The wording people arrive with is script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. We keep it under Script and Calligraphy Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the script and calligraphy fonts we have gone through. The neighbouring searches are script, calligraph, handwritten, hand written and signature — worth a look if this particular font is close but not quite it.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
