About Notes by Hand
Most of what turns up under 50s fonts needs work before it is usable. Notes by Hand is the version that does not. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. The save count sits at 142, and a number that size usually means the file does what its preview promises.
Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. We keep it filed mentally under 60s fonts, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether 50s fonts was the description or the aspiration.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
