About Mathilda Hightlights
What we like about Mathilda Hightlights is how little it tries to be everything — it does beauty font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf. It comes from pinkmeca. The save count is at zero, so there is nothing to lean on but the preview and our reading of it. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one.
Put it to work on bold font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
