About Mankind
What we like about Mankind is how little it tries to be everything — it does beautiful font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf. Credit goes to airotype. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. 155 saves is a quiet kind of recommendation, and it is the only one we can read off the listing.
We keep it filed mentally under birthday font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. The join between letters is the whole craft in a script face, so we look at a word with a repeated letter before judging anything else. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
Type boho font, calligraphy font, card font and casual font into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. We filed it under Script and Calligraphy Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. People after this usually search script, handwritten, hand written, signature and cursive too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
