About Lineme

Most of what turns up under adobe compatible font needs work before it is usable. Lineme is the version that does not. Credit goes to Simple Font. Only 11 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist.

We would use it the way the listing hints — affinity compatible font — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether adobe compatible font is really what you are getting.

It answers to bullet journal font, casual monoline handwriting, casual note font and classroom decor font, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. Its home here is Script and Calligraphy Fonts — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are script, calligraph, handwritten, hand written and signature and they stay on this page. Put next to the usual requests here — script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
