About Le Petit Parisien
There is nothing clever about Le Petit Parisien, and that is the compliment: it does what the shelf promises and stops there. Plenty of people got here before us: 115 of them saved it. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. The designer behind it is The Pen and Brush.
We would reach for it when the deadline matters more than the flourish. Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether script and calligraphy fonts was the description or the aspiration.
It is shelved with the rest of the script and calligraphy fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one. Put next to the usual requests here — script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often. People after this usually search handwritten, hand written, signature, cursive and brush too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
