About Hilly
Most of what turns up under best font needs work before it is usable. Hilly is the version that does not. Only 10 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. YanStudio made it. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist.
We keep it filed mentally under blackphanter font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether best font is really what you are getting.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
