About Heart Beat Font
This is the one we reach for when the request is adorabletype. Heart Beat Font keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. The designer behind it is MTK Studio. 14 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge.
Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. If you want one use for it, take clean font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
