About Heading
What we like about Heading is how little it tries to be everything — it does beauty fonts, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf. Only 11 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. It comes from salma studio. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.
The join between letters is the whole craft in a script face, so we look at a word with a repeated letter before judging anything else. If you want one use for it, take bold fonts: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
The words on the listing are brochure fonts, brush fonts, calligraphy fonts and cursive fonts, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. It is shelved with the rest of the script and calligraphy fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one. People after this usually search script, handwritten, hand written and signature too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place. Judged against the requests we see — script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
