Gerber Daisy earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to bold font, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. The obvious job for it is chunky font, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. The join between letters is the whole craft in a script face, so we look at a word with a repeated letter before judging anything else. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
