About Gangerty
What we like about Gangerty is how little it tries to be everything — it does ageless typography, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. ayska17 made it. It is quiet on saves so far, so take this as our opinion rather than the crowd's.
If you want one use for it, take american retrostyle: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. The join between letters is the whole craft in a script face, so we look at a word with a repeated letter before judging anything else. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
Search for apparel design, artistic projects, bold strokes and bygone logos and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
