About Elvon

If bold font is what you came for, start here — Elvon is the plainest reading of that request on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. The designer behind it is vladfedotovv. With 8 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.

Put it to work on branding font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.

Search for brush font, casual font, creative font and expressive font and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. The same shelf also answers to script, calligraph, handwritten, hand written and signature, so widen the search there before giving up on it. The wording people arrive with is script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. You will find it among the script and calligraphy fonts, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
