About Ellegrin
We put Ellegrin on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf because blur is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. It sits at 37 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. madjack.font made it.
Our own plan for it is bold script font, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. The join between letters is the whole craft in a script face, so we look at a word with a repeated letter before judging anything else. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
The words on the listing are branding, brush font, calligraphy and casual, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. The same shelf also answers to handwritten, hand written, signature and cursive, so widen the search there before giving up on it. We filed it under Script and Calligraphy Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. The wording people arrive with is script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
