About Delaghen
What we like about Delaghen is how little it tries to be everything — it does beauty, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf. Credit goes to afkaristudio. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. With 3 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.
If you want one use for it, take branding: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. The join between letters is the whole craft in a script face, so we look at a word with a repeated letter before judging anything else. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether beauty is really what you are getting.
If you came in looking for calligraphy, creative, cursive and display, you are in the right place — the listing carries all of those, which is the clearest sign the designer built it for that job rather than retitled it afterwards. We keep it under Script and Calligraphy Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the script and calligraphy fonts we have gone through. The searches that bring people to this shelf are script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font — this one sits in the middle of that group rather than off to the side of it. The neighbouring searches are script, handwritten, hand written, signature and brush — worth a look if this particular font is close but not quite it.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
