About Connect
The reason Connect is here is 4th of july and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. The designer behind it is arnon.021993. The save count is still small at 7, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.
We would use it the way the listing hints — art — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether 4th of july is really what you are getting.
Search for back to school, barbie, beach and christmas and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
