About Cathea
There is nothing clever about Cathea, and that is the compliment: it does what the shelf promises and stops there. It comes from Dani (7NTypes). It sits at 65 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. It stands at 5.0 out of 5 across 1 review, and we read the low scores first when there are any.
Type your own words in the preview box before you decide: script fonts look beautiful in the designer's sample and fall apart in all caps or with a double letter. We would reach for it when the deadline matters more than the flourish. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
What this shelf gets asked for is script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones. Related wording on the shelf: handwritten, hand written, signature, cursive and brush. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. We filed it under Script and Calligraphy Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
