Carvent is our branding font pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. 9 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. Credit goes to letterhend. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist.
The obvious job for it is farmhouse, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
If you came in looking for fishing, fotn combination. rustic, handcrafted and heritage, you are in the right place — the listing carries all of those, which is the clearest sign the designer built it for that job rather than retitled it afterwards. People after this usually search script, calligraph, handwritten, hand written and signature too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place. The wording people arrive with is script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. It is shelved with the rest of the script and calligraphy fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
