About Artis
Artis stayed on the shelf for the dull reason that it works. We would rather have one of these than three fonts with ideas of their own. Creative Fabrica Fonts is the name on the listing. The buyers who left a word rate it 5.0 out of 5 — 1 review, all of them on the listing. 244 people have saved it over there, which tells us the idea works for more than just us.
Type your own words in the preview box before you decide: script fonts look beautiful in the designer's sample and fall apart in all caps or with a double letter. Use it where the font has to disappear behind the thing you are actually making. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether script and calligraphy fonts was the description or the aspiration.
It is shelved with the rest of the script and calligraphy fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one. Judged against the requests we see — script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. Nearby you will see handwritten, hand written, signature, cursive and brush, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
