About Adellisa

The reason Adellisa is here is boutique branding font and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. WildaKhairunnisa made it. No saves on it yet — new files sit like that for a while, and it says nothing about the file.

Type your own words into the preview, not the designer's. Scripts are built around a sample phrase, and a double letter or an all-caps word is where they come apart. If you want one use for it, take cricut: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.

The words on the listing are calligraphy font, cricut font, elegant script and engraving design, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. The neighbouring searches are handwritten, hand written, signature, cursive and brush — worth a look if this particular font is close but not quite it. The wording people arrive with is script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. On this site it lives on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing script and calligraphy fonts rather than searching for it by name.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
