About Spooky Castle

Ask for all caps font and you get a hundred near-misses; Spooky Castle is one of the few that answers the question as asked. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. Typerex is the name on the listing. The save count is still small at 4, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.

Put it to work on blood drip type first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether all caps font is really what you are getting.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
