About Spinewick
We put Spinewick on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf because creepy font is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. It sits at 1 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. TypeIQ is the name on the listing.
The obvious job for it is creepy lettering, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether creepy font was the description or the aspiration.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
