About Shine Groovy

Ask for back to school and you get a hundred near-misses; Shine Groovy is one of the few that answers the question as asked. It has 647 saves behind it — enough that we trust the demand, not just our own taste. The buyers who left a word rate it 5.0 out of 5 — 4 reviews, all of them on the listing. The designer behind it is Nicolo Pumpkins.

The obvious job for it is classic, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. The reviews have done the testing for you; the preview is all that is left to check.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
