About Groovy Summer
What we like about Groovy Summer is how little it tries to be everything — it does apparel fonts, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. The designer behind it is Rydmaker (7NTypes). We are not the first to notice: 514 makers saved it on before we did, and that number is the closest thing to a verdict the platform gives. The listing shows 5.0 out of 5 on 11 reviews, which is better evidence than the thumbnail.
If you want one use for it, take banner: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. The reviews have done the testing for you; the preview is all that is left to check.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
