About Red Ridge
Most of what turns up under adventure branding needs work before it is usable. Red Ridge is the version that does not. The designer behind it is Bundle. 1 save means nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.
Our own plan for it is adventure font, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether adventure branding was the description or the aspiration.
The listing files it under advertising font, apparel font, badge font and bold display — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
