About Kurohe Otf
This is the one we reach for when the request is asian font. Kurohe Otf keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. Credit goes to ArtiXLabs. Only 21 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. It stands at 5.0 out of 5 across 7 reviews, and we read the low scores first when there are any.
Put it to work on bold font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. The reviews have done the testing for you; the preview is all that is left to check.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
