About Jelly Groove

Most of what turns up under 60s font needs work before it is usable. Jelly Groove is the version that does not. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. Soho Studio is the name on the listing. The save count is still small at 7, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.

If you want one use for it, take 70s font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether 60s font was the description or the aspiration.

Type balloon font, boho font, bold font and branding font into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. On this site it lives on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing display and poster fonts rather than searching for it by name. Nearby you will see display, poster, headline, vintage and retro, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. Put next to the usual requests here — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
