About Fluffy Groovy

We put Fluffy Groovy on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf because 60s font is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. Credit goes to Leaked Ink. Only 10 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's.

A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. Put it to work on 70s font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
