About Felling Good

Felling Good is our best font pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. 23 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up.

We would use it the way the listing hints — blackphanter font — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether best font is really what you are getting.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
