About Chicaria
Chicaria earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to aesthetic, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. The designer behind it is pandekastudio. The save count is still small at 14, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. It stands at 5.0 out of 5 across 1 review, and we read the low scores first when there are any.
Our own plan for it is antique, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether aesthetic was the description or the aspiration.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
