About Black Agic

We put Black Agic on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf because 70s font is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. It is BILLI's work. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. The save count is still small at 3, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.

We keep it filed mentally under advertising font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.

If you came in looking for album font, apparel font, bakery font and beauty font, you are in the right place — the listing carries all of those, which is the clearest sign the designer built it for that job rather than retitled it afterwards. You will find it among the display and poster fonts, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. The same shelf also answers to display, poster, headline, vintage and retro, so widen the search there before giving up on it.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
