About Zarova
What we like about Zarova is how little it tries to be everything — it does beauty, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Serif Fonts shelf. It comes from Perfectype. 1 save means nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge.
A serif is for reading, so judge it by a full sentence rather than a word — the rhythm only shows up across a line. The obvious job for it is boutique logo font, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
Search for beauty branding font, beauty logo font, beauty packaging font and branding and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. The same shelf also answers to serif, so widen the search there before giving up on it. The searches that bring people to this shelf are serif fonts and script and serif font combinations — this one sits in the middle of that group rather than off to the side of it. It is shelved with the rest of the serif fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
