About Xalicon
Xalicon earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to advertising font, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. Only 1 person has saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. It is Twistystd's work.
A serif is for reading, so judge it by a full sentence rather than a word — the rhythm only shows up across a line. Put it to work on apparel font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether advertising font is really what you are getting.
If you came in looking for block font, bold display font, bold font and bold serif font, you are in the right place — the listing carries all of those, which is the clearest sign the designer built it for that job rather than retitled it afterwards. We keep it under Serif Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the serif fonts we have gone through. We track what people actually type before they land here: serif fonts and script and serif font combinations. If that is roughly what you were after, this font is in the right family.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
